We’ll Miss You!

On Friday, January 24th the sportfishing community lost one of its giants, Ranger Boat founder Forrest Wood.  “Forrest Wood was inducted into the Fresh Water Fishing Hall of Fame in 1987 and served on the Selection Committee since 2007. That’s over 30 years that he was associated with The Hall and contributed to its success. The members of the Selection Committee will miss his amazing stories and insights about the world of angling. There were very few in the industry he did not know personally and he almost always had a great anecdote to share about someone that had been nominated for induction. Forrest was a pioneer, an innovator and a true legend in the realm of fishing and his accomplishments will shape the fishing industry for generations,” states Tim Lesmesiter Hall Selection Committee chairman.  (Editor’s Note:  Our selection committee meetings will not be the same without Forrest.  His perspective and insights were invaluable.  Forrest was a true gentleman in every aspect.  Goodbye friend may you rest in peace.)  (Photo: Fresh Water Fishing Hall of Fame).
